LAKESIDE DIAMOND HOUSE, AUSTRIA

Located directly on the shores of the “Trumer Lake” in Austria, the house was constructed within a nature reserve, where great emphasis was placed on the juxtaposition of building silhouettes that are as uniform as possible. The overall look, like a string of pearls formed by the building contours, is an important aspect of design in the region.

These specifications were followed as closely as possible in the design; however, it was also crucial that the building radiated its own distinctive architecture. The presence that emerged fits in harmoniously with the ensemble while boasting a reserved elegance.

To be precise, the building has two different faces: on the rear, visible to the street, the building looks like a reduced, traditional house. From the lakeside, however, the view is of a modern, free-flowing structure. Nevertheless, the two sides merge into each other with no obvious discontinuity, forming a smooth transition.

Swisspearl Largo Avera panels were used for the design of the façade.

Avera is a through colored fiber cement panel with a vibrant texture never seen before. The unique look is characterized by the specifically coordinated dynamic manufacturing process. The special coating also shows strong scratch resistance and offers lasting defense against most graffiti.
